Deep Cleansing Facial Oil and Makeup Remover by InstaNatural Review

Today I received a 4 ounce bottle of Deep Cleansing Facial Oil and Makeup Remover by InstaNatural to review.  It says it is a Skin & Pore Purifier, Gentle and Reviving!  As of this post, it retails for $19.99.  They give a 100% money back guarantee on it too!

I was taken aback by this product. I thought for sure my face would become oily after using it. I was wrong. I was surprised like many before me who have reviewed this facial oil. It not only cleans your face with a nice smooth touch but makes it softer. Yes, it does feel like oil on your face when you're cleaning it, but it will wash off and not remain. I used a sponge to clean my face and the facial oil cleanser washed out of the sponge too.  It is like a yellow tint to it and smells like a citrus field.  Not quite orange, but close to that range, so it is very pleasant!

I removed some eyeliner with this too. Works and it's easy to put some on a cotton ball and throw away, rather than trying to scrub it off with a washcloth, then you have to put the washcloth in the washer with eyeliner on it. It's like Cat in the Hat. This eliminates that.

I love the ingredients! Jojoba Oil, Olive Oil, Essential Oils, Hemp Oil, Tamanu Oil, and Sea Buckthorn Oil. I love that they are organic. Thank you for sending me this to review for my honest opinion. I love this stuff!!!!

Their InstaNatural Amazon Page says:

  • NATURAL & ORGANIC: Our Facial Oil Cleanser is made with natural ingredients, such as Jojoba Oil, Olive Oil, Essential Oils, Tamanu Oil, Hemp Oil, and more.
  • WORKS FAST: Massage onto skin to gently and effectively remove dirt, impurities and makeup.
  • GENTLE INGREDIENTS: Our nonabrasive facial wash contains many key active ingredients that work to clean your face and pores without stripping the skin of its natural oils.
  • POWERFUL RESULTS: Strong enough to be used as a makeup remover - can even tackle eye liner and mascara!
  • MANUFACTURER GUARANTEE: InstaNatural backs their products with a Lifetime Money Back Guarantee, no matter where you buy our product. If you're not satisfied, simply contact us and get a full refund.

Garlic or Ginger Press - Professional 100 Percent Stainless Steel Propresser Review

Today I received a Professional Garlic Press Propreser.  I received this item as an active blogger from Orblue in exchange for my honest review.  Here is a quick Vine video I made pretty much as soon as I opened the package.  I made some yummy Asian noodles and used the garlic press to add fresh garlic and ginger.

Truly is 100% stainless steel. I love that because it won't rust and will last a long time, probably my whole life. I love how it holds about 3-4 cloves of garlic. We L.O.V.E garlic in this house. This is very simple to use and clean. The garlic came out in perfect little cooking pieces right into the fry pan.. I won't have to chop up garlic into tiny pieces for 5 minutes anymore. This eliminates that. Your hands won't smell either. BONUS!!!! I did try using fresh ginger. It pressed the ginger and some small pieces did make it through, but kept the hard stringy part inside the press. I never pressed ginger before so I was surprised. Remember, a little ginger (and juice from it in the propresser) goes a LONG WAY!  The carriage with the holes that the garlic goes through swings out and it's easy to clean.  Such heavy duty quality, so good in fact, that this can be used in the restaurant business no doubt.

Thier Amazon page says they will give back up this product 100% for life!

" If you have ANY problems with your Propresser Garlic Press FOR THE LIFETIME OF THE PRODUCT simply let me know and I will refund every penny of your purchase plus ship you another brand new kitchen gadget FREE of charge."

Today I received an eBook to review called Navigating Emotions for Parents from Presenceparenting.com

It seems like a bible for the emotions that sometimes get the best of you as a parent.  I like that it guides you and suggests ideas in a gentle manor.  If you are having a hard time with any kind of issue with keeping your emotions organized, then this book should help you.

The first line in this book asks you an important question?
"Would you like to choose how you respond when parenting feels intense?"

If you say yes or maybe, then this book is a no brainer.  Navigating Emotions can help you and your family and your kids become more harmonious if you follow the guidelines.  The book is only 28 pages, but it is FULL of wonderful suggestions.  It doesn't feel like a lecture, just a guidance from mom to other parents. This book guides you for occasions like how to navigate around that you yelled at your child then felt bad afterwards.  Or when you feel angry and the emotion keeps getting stronger and stronger the more your child misbehaves.  Everyone has been there as a parent.  Sometimes you had a bad day yourself and take it out on your child with yelling more often.  This book is going to help you handle parenting in a more easy going manner. I read the book and have definitely applied some lessons to my own behavior.  I love my child up to the sky and down, and the sky never stops going up, but we all get a little angry sometimes!

100 Percent Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil Review

Today I received a big 4 ounce bottle of 100% Australian Tea Tree Oil from Apothecary Extracts.  I could smell it from inside the shipping box.  Then there was another box as shown in my picture.  (FreebieChick.com is my new website, come check it out!)  I was sure that it was spilled or broken, given the smell, but sure enough it was intact.  This is pharmaceutical grade, so it is 100% potent.

So you are wondering what Tea Tree Oil is?
From WebMD: "Tea tree oil is derived from the leaves of the tea tree. The tea tree was named by eighteenth century sailors, who made tea that smelled like nutmeg from the leaves of the tree growing on the swampy southeast Australian coast. Do not confuse the tea tree with the unrelated common tea plant that is used to make black and green teas."

I was interested in using this Tea Tree Oil to heal a dry itchy patch on my skin that keeps reappearing.  It's the size of a quarter and it will fade slightly when I use Vitamin C serum, but still comes back if I stop.  So I wanted to try this.  Then I read on the box that I shouldn't apply it to any irritated skin or rash.  Well, I didn't listen.  I did listen to the warning about the strenght though.  I got my coconut oil out and mixed four 1 teaspoons and 1 teaspoon of this Tea Tree oil together.  I applied it to the itchy patch.  It did slightly tingle the area but nothing too extreme.

UPDATE: 9/10/2014:  I've applied this to the itchy scaly patch about a dozen times, (mixed with the coconut oil as a carrier).  It did lessen the itchiness and the scaliness.  It seems to work just as good or slightly better than vitamin c serum.

I really like the ebook they sent with this.  It tells you how you can use this for different things like, household cleaner, skin and hair care, and over 50 different recipes for it!

Something that is always on everyone's mind is if it's really "100% pure" or "100% natural".  This is copy and pasted from their Q & A page on Amazon:
Q: Can you confirm this is 100% Tea Tree oil? I'm tired of buying essential oils advertising as 100% just to find out stuff is added.
A:  That's something we were concerned about as well. When we went looking for a source we spent a lot of money on sophisticated tests to find a 100% pure Australian Tea Tree Oil. What we found is that nearly everything coming out of China had been adulterated in some way. And even some of the brands that claim to be using Australian product are watering their product down with other substances. These 2 tests show that the 'peaks' of the graph are exactly where they should be for a 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil.  Hope that helps. (They provided links to graphs and a report.(See below as I got them from this companies links)

Apothecary Extracts only sell their Tea Tree Oil on Amazon.  More from their Amazon page:
Indications
Contemporary Uses: Tea Tree Essential Oil is best known as a very powerful immune stimulant. It can help to fight all three categories of infectious organisms (bacteria, fungi, and viruses), and there is evidence that Tea Tree Oil massages prior to an operation may help to fortify the body and reduce post-operative shock. Used in vapor therapy, Tea Tree Oil can help with colds, measles, sinusitis and viral infections. For skin and hair, Tea Tree has been used to combat acne, oily skin, head lice, dandruff, toenail fungus, yeast infections, skin tags, cold sores, dandruff, and ringworm.

Ingredients
The Australian standards require that the oil of Melaleuca alternifolia must be composed of less than 15 cineole and over 30 terpinen-4-ol. You can request copies of our Gas Chromatography reports which show that Apothecary Extracts' Tea Tree Oil is not only compliant with these regulations but surpasses them. Apothecary Extracts is composed of less than 5 cineole and over 35 terpinen-4-ol which qualifies for Pharmaceutical Grade as established by the Australian Tea Tree Oil Industry Association. It is 100% pure and unadulterated. No fillers, additives, bases or carriers added.

Directions
History: Apothecary Extracts Tea Tree Oil is a pure oil culled from the leaves of a tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) native to Australia. The aboriginal people of Australia have long used Tea tree oil. The Aborigines would bathe in medicinal pools of water where the tea tree leaves had naturally settled. In World War Two, the producers and the cutters of Tea Tree were exempt from military service until enough essential oil had been accumulated. The oil was a highly valued product as it was issued to each soldier and sailor as part of their kit in order to treat tropical infections and infected wounds. Description: The Tea Tree is a small tree or shrub with needle-like leaves. It can grow up to 7 meters (20 feet) in height and thrives in marshy areas, though it is now cultivated in plantations. The Tea Tree is very robust; it is ready for cutting only two years after its' previous harvest. General Information: Packaged in dark amber glass bottle with euro style dropper. | Botanical Name: Melaleuca alternifolia | Plant Part: Leaves | Extraction Method: Steam Distilled | Origin: Australia | Color: Colorless to pale yellow clear liquid.| Aromatic Scent: Tee Tree Essential Oil has a fresh, antiseptic and medicinal scent. It also has characteristic mint and spice back-notes. | Strength of Aroma: Medium | Blends well with: Cinnamon Bark, Clary Sage, Clove Bud, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Myrrh, Nutmeg, Rosewood, Rosemary and Thyme. |
I would definitely recommend this product for anyone wanting to use healthier products on their skin and around the house.  You can do so much with Tea Tree Oil.
Here are a few examples:

  • Use tea tree oil to clear acne
  • Use tea tree oil to remove makeup
  • Use tea tree oil to soothe sores
  • Use tea tree oil to fight foot odor
  • Use tea tree oil to eliminate toenail fungus
  • Use tea tree oil to treat the chicken pox
Or here is a magical list of 80 uses for Tea Tree Oil! (This will open a new page in your browser)

Tea Tree Oil should be in every medicine cabinet, and every essential oil connoisseur.

Stylish and Comfortable Leak-Control Undergarment Underwear Panties for Women Review

Today I received a pair of leak control underwear from WearEverUs.  The quality was impressive right out of the box.  I realized that these undergarments were made durable, if material can be durable, for frequent washing.  These undergarments are great in cutting down your cost of the disposable underwear for incontinence.  I know that after I had my child, it was hard for me to hold for too long.  These come in men or women styles.  All of the styles look like regular attractive underwear on the shelves at retail stores.  No one would be able to tell if you stripped down to your undergarments, that these were incontinence underwear.  The padding in the crotch area, (sorry for lack of better word there folks), was about 1/2 inch thick.  They are very comfortable.

To better explain how their undergarments are made, here is what their website says:
"Choose Women's Incontinence Panties by Wearever for maximum protection and reusability. Our selection of absorbent female incontinence panties feature sewn-in Unique-Dri™ pads that trap liquid and are treated with odor eliminating Agion™ antimicrobial fibers. Wearever offers cotton, lace, and nylon microfiber styles to meet every preference. More economical than disposables, Wearever is recommended good for 200-250 washes."

The company WearEver, also sells diabetic socks and bed pads, along with the incontinence underwear.  They are affordable.  The prices for the women range from $12.99-$26.99, most are around $15.99.  For the men, the prices rang from $15.99 to $24.99.

These WearEver undergarments would be great for after pregnancy, for prostate patients, and general incontinence.

To learn about the company quickly and for your convenience, read the copy from their website's About US page:

An Incontinent Opportunity
The Prime Life Fiber story started back in the early nineties, when Bob Deerin noticed that a flourishing industry in Europe for reusable incontinence underwear had no equivalent in the US market. Seeing an opportunity to provide a quality product at a lower overall cost, Bob and his partner in those early days started importing reusable incontinence undergarments from Europe.

Soon, however, the cost of doing so made it clear that these incontinence garments would need to be manufactured locally in order for the business to sustain itself. And so, in subcontracting the manufacturing to a Thomasville, North Carolina fabric company, Bob started down the path to Prime Life Fiber’s patented 3-layer Hydrex™ system for total protection.

The Wearever 3-Point Philosophy
The successful evolution of the company from those early days to its position of leadership today is based on a drive to develop the best incontinence products on the market. In order to do so, they must meet the following criteria:

Consistent quality and performance – “it has to work”
Fashionable, stylish designs – “it has to be comparable with regular, contemporary underwear”
Attractive pricing – “it has to be cheaper over its lifetime than its alternatives”

This philosophy has carried Prime Life Fiber’s Wearever line based on the Hydrex™ system, and has now produced, after many years of trials, tweaking, and testing, the company’s latest innovation, the Unique-Dri™ system and the Wearever™ line of seamless panties.

The Future of Prime Life Fibers
Bob Deerin continues to be the heart and soul of Prime Life Fibers. And innovation and constant improvement continue to be the company’s mantras as they always have been. All of which means that wearers of incontinence briefs and incontinence panties can continue to look forward to a future of newer, better products.

Garcinia Cambogia - Top Weight Loss Product - Oz Recommended Review

Today I received a bottle of Garcinia Cambogia made by Xium The Science of Thin, sold by Accelerated Intelligence Distribution, to review for my honest opinion.  There are 90 Vegetarian capsules in each bottle.  Each bottle has Garcinai Cambogia 750MG which has a minimum of 60% HCA (Hydroxycitric acid).  This is supposedly the top weight loss product recommended by Dr. Oz.  Not this exact brand, but the Gacinia Cambogia.  What I liked about this brand is that there are no fillers and no other ingredients.  I absolutely love that they are VEGAN/Vegetarian.

What do I think about Garcinia Cambogia by Xium?
It did give me energy but I didn't lose weight.  I took only 2 pills a day, not 3.  Not losing any weight could be from that or from my hypothyroidism problem. I think the normal healthy person, this would work for weight loss. I didn't lose any weight in the 22 days I took this. I did have more energy and I felt more alert. The energy made me want to move and clean my house, so I'll take it as it will work for weight loss, since you would be moving more. I decided to wait and use the rest of the capsules until my thyroid is working on the thyroid pill. The ingredients I feel are true and pure. I would trust this brand more than something on GNC's shelf.

Here's what their Amazon Page says:

This is one of the highest purity and highest quality Garcinia Cambogia Products On the Market today. 100% Vegan capsules. Pure Garcinia Cambogia Extract with HCA (Hydroxicitric Acid) works in many ways. Suppressing your appetite, blocking fat from being made, and increasing serotonin levels in your body are just a few exciting breakthroughs discovered about Garcinia Cambogia! The best part about Pure Garcinia Cambogia is it can work on its own! No more time wasted shopping for expensive weight loss products and no more hours wasted at the gym!

  •  750 MG ( VEGETARIAN / VEGAN) Per Serving - Powerful Ingredients - As Seen On Dr. Oz
  •     100% PURE -Easy To Swallow - Rapid Release Capsules

  •     MADE IN USA - Clinically Proven Garcinia Cambogia Extract (HCA)
  •     #1 Doctor Recommended Brand

This seems like an outstanding product from and upstanding company, but I always check with your doctor with your concerns before trying any new regimen.

Raw Unrefined African Organic Shea Butter Imported from Ghana South Africa Review

Today I received a 1 pound block of 100% Organic Raw Unrefined African Shea Butter from Beauty by Shea to review.

I opened it up and realized it was a nice big block.  I did not know that it was going to be in a block, for some reason, I thought it was going to be already in a lotion form.  After that initial shock, I was really happy to see it come in the block form, so I could make my own lotions and soaps.  I have never done that before, but I plan on making some in time to try it before the holidays.  Homemade shea butter lotion for stocking stuffers.  I think it sounds good.
Ok, so if you’re family or friends, pretend you didn’t read that!!!!

I really loved using this straight from the block, (it was more like a squished block.)  Due to the heat, the block got a little soft on it’s way to me, so it wasn’t actually a block.  I would suggest that you two day this product or even overnight if you want it in the block as shown in the first picture.

I put a dime-quarter sized piece of the block in my palm.  The directions said it will just melt in your palm.  It really did!  The middle of my palm still has a little piece that did not “melt” completely.  Around that piece is how the shea butter softens out and then you can apply.
