Does Vitamin B3 skin cream really work? Niacinamide Skin Cream Serum Review

I recently received a beautiful glass bottle of B12 vitamin skin cream to review from InstaNatural.  The official name is InstaNatural Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) Anit-Aging and Skin Lightening Serum.  I always like to try it before I review it of course.  I liked that it was light.  It didn't seem greasy, which is a plus.  I love that they use organic ingredients, but you have to look a little further.

Ingredients:
The list of ingredients are Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Vegetable Glycerin, Niacinamide (vitamin B3), Emulsifying wax, Avocado oil, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Neem Oil, Rosemary Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Tetrasodium EDTA, sodium bicarbonate, Citric Acid.

I am not too happy about Phenoxyethanol. Phenoxyethanol is at a rating of 4 (from 1-10) on the overall hazard scale as seen on Environmental Working Group's website as seen here.

So then I checked the rest, the only other ingredient that is on the "bad" list is Tetrasodium EDTA.  That is at a 2 on a scale of 1-10, as seen here.


After using it a few times a week for two weeks, I felt that my skin looked smoother and more clear.  My cheeks glowed a little red too.  I am in the process of trying it out on some scars on my foot to see if it diminishes them.  I will update after that experiment, however I want to do this for about 3 months.
